Bashar al-Assad met with Vladimir Poutine in Moscow

President Assad made a "working visit" yesterday in Moscow during which he met his Russian counterpart Vladimir Poutine, announced by the Kremlin.

"Last night the President of the Syrian Arab Republic Bashar al-Assad came on a working visit in Moscow," he said, quoted by Russian news agencies, adding that Bashar al-Assad held talks with Vladimir Poutine but without specifying whether the Syrian president was still in Moscow.
