Clashes erupted at Kobane after a suicide car bomb.

The jihadists of the Islamic State launched a new attack on the city of Kobane, bordering Turkey.
The assault began with a car bomb attack on the border between the city of Kobane and Turkey, and was followed by another with an explosive belt, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR).
For the party of the Syrian Kurdish Democratic Union, the attack differs from the previous because the group of the Islamic State previously attacked the city from three sides. Now, the jihadists attack from four sides and from Turkey, according to the party.
Television images showed a man armed with a kalashnikov on the turkish side of the border.
Turkey, which supports the syrian rebels fighting the regime of president Bashar al-Assad has nevertheless hesitated before helping Kobane to defend themselves.
Ankara indeed feared the resurgence of the Kurdish community campaigning for an independent state.
The SOHR also reports of heavy fighting in the southwest of the city where the troops of the Islamic State have brought tanks to reinforce their fighters.
The jihadists of the Islamic State began their offensive in mid-September, taking control of several parts of the city but also dozens of surrounding villages.
Kobane later became the target of a series of air strikes against the Islamists and conducted by the international coalition led by the United States. Meanwhile, Kobane kurds fighters have succeeded in slowing the offensive jihadists especially with the arrival of hundreds of iraqi peshmerga fighters as reinforcements.
The group of the Islamic State declared an islamic caliphate in areas under its control in Iraq and Syria, governed by sharia law. The extremists have carried out mass killings targeting security forces of the government, ethnic minorities and those who oppose their efforts.
