Reprieve for Serge Atlaoui

The name of Serge Atlaoui isn't on the list of nine to be executed in the coming days, after being sentenced to death.
A french diplomatic source confirmed to Reuters that he will not be part of people to go through a firing squad in a few days. She didn't say why the french citizen has a reprieve.
"We are extremely careful. Things can change from one day to the other", said Richard Sedillot, the lawyer of Serge Atlaoui.
The french authorities have conducted intense diplomatic pressure to secure his release.
Nine people are in the death row in Indonesia for drug trafficking.
The nine sentenced to death, two australians, a nigerian, an indonesian and citizens of Brazil, Ghana and the Philippines could go before a firing squad in the coming days, according to the indonesian justice. They are accused of drug trafficking.
"My client received a letter notifying him that he will be executed after a 72 hour countdown", said to Reuters agency lawyer Utomo Karim, who defends one of nigerians. "The date of execution is not mentioned in the letter. But the relatives of the defendants have until tuesday to 14 hours later, to visit them at the Nusa Kambangan prison. This means they will probably executed in the evening or after midnight",said Karim.
Indonesia punishes with death on drug trafficking offense. In 2013, she resumed executions of persons accused for the offense after a five year suspension.
