Two months after the death of Jerry Collins and his girlfriend in a car accident, the NZ Herald had access to the first results of the survey conducted by the French police. It seems Alana Madill, companion Collins, fell asleep at the wheel and lost control of the vehicle. Also according to the New Zealand spring, when he would have realized the impending crash, Collins would have thrown in the back seat to protect his daughter from the shock.
This last, a few months old has long remained between life and death before joining his family in Canada. The death of Jerry Collins had deeply touched the world of rugby and especially his compatriots who wanted to pay their last tribute particularly moving.
